Don’t Mess with Rors on Hollow Grounds

RORS | Quail Hollow this week for the Wells Fargo Championship. That’s why I titl – right. So let me repeat: DON’T MESS WITH RORS AT THE HOLLOW. Only multiple winner in the event’s history. 61 on Saturday last year (course record…obvi). A bunch of top-10s in the years in-between. Oh, he’s also shot 62 here in the final round to win. The course is over 7,500 yards which is long but LOOK AT THAT BICEP. He’s featured on PGA TOUR LIVE Thursday morning so check that out.

The Hollow | About to become a major venue. Hosting next year’s PGA Champ. Also venue of the 2021 President’s Cup.

FIELD | Yes this week we categorize by “Rory” and “Others.” Bryson DechamPRO is back in action this week. Using his second sponsor’s exemption this year to try and procure his Tour card (has to reach approx. $750,000 total). Ollie Schniederjans also has a sponsor’s invite into the event this week. He’s a part of the Thomas, Rodgers, Spieth, Kaufman clan…just turned pro recently and is a little behind his peers but will catch up in no time. Splitting time between the Web and PGA. Speaking of Rodgers, he had a sponsor’s exemption into the field last year and finished runner-up to McIlroy which was almost single-handedly responsible for his full-time status this year. Schniederjans is playing with Bobby Wyatt this week. He came in 4th last week in NOLA in his sponsor’s exemption into the field which qualified him for this week. Wyatt played at Bama with Thomas who was giving good vibes on Twitter:Screen Shot 2016-05-03 at 8.00.08 PM

Just a month ago, Wyatt was in Q-School for the Mackenzie Tour. He has conditional status…but he’s onto bigger things at the moment.

Special shout out to Brian Stuard for winning in NOLA last week in CLUTCH fashion. 171 yards > 1 Yd for the win on the second playoff hole. Lovemark has been right there this whole season and will break through soon. Chappell and Lovemark are kind of in the same spot at the moment but their times will come.

Also, shoutout to young gun LI Haotong for winning the China Open on the Euro Tour this weekend. Only the 20th event on tour for the 22 year old. He’s going to Rio for now…
