Jordan | Fired a 64 (-6) T-4th today in his hometown event at the AT&T Byron Nelson which leaves him only one shot off the early pace (play was suspended due to darkness). Chipping in at the first for bird set an early tone that led to the best play we’ve seen from Jordan since the front nine on Sunday at The Masters. He attributes it to a refreshed attitude as he tries to be looser as he plays and not get so frustrated after poor shots. Hopefully Jordan can continue to improve this week and get the W at home.
Rory | Hosting his tournament this week at The K Club (Dubai Duty Free Irish Open hosted by the Rory Foundation) which wins the longest-name-of-a-tournament-ever award 😛 Calling this an at-home match for Rory even though it’s a bit south of Holywood because he is hosting it and the country’s name has “Ireland” in it. Rory played brilliantly today despite his only bogey coming from a 3-putt from 12 feet away (missed a 2-footer for par). He made a birdie at the last to put it behind him which is important for him going into tomorrow…especially with Danny Willet at the helm after firing a 65 (-7). Rory sits two shots back in solo 2nd at the moment. He will tee off in a couple hours from now (12:25am PST).
**Bryson DechamPRO WATCH** | Bryson is (-4) after 16 holes when play was suspended due to darkness at the Bryson Nelson. Best golf he’s played since his T-4th finish at the RBC. Hopefully he can cash in this week to get closer to his Tour card.
