George Bryan, IV is leading the Essential Costa Rica Classic right now heading into the weekend – and I couldn’t be more stoked for the guy.

Thru 36 holes, Bryan has gone deep – firing 63-66 so far this week to be on top. But that hasn’t always been the story so far this season.

The Bryan Bros have a ton of talent, and Wesley is currently showing off his skills on the PGA Tour (recently won the RBC Heritage). George has had his own success, albeit briefly this year. He placed T11 in PTLA Q-School to secure conditional status on the Latino American Tour – one shot out of full status. So far, he’s played in 3 events. One was cancelled due to weather, and he MC’d in the other two. I’m sure not the start he envisioned.

But, he’s stuck with the grind. I’ve been following his practice sessions on Snapchat (@bryanbrosgolf) and the guy is at it on a daily basis. George and his brother have competed against each other their whole lives, and it’s truly a fair fight.

This week, George’s game is finally featured on the (inter) national scene.

He took a few minutes to chat yesterday about how he has improved his putting – and did the same today to address how he’s approaching the weekend.

Good luck to George this weekend in search of his first PTLA win!
